Justin Frank has made a good contribution with this book. I recommend it.
Justin Frank has an extraordinary capacity to sense and articulate the "vibrations" that we all swim in. He describes them in a way that gives me frequent "Ahas!" as I recognize what he would call their "downstream" impact. For example, he describes the loss of a loved one as the sundering of a gravitational field between two bodies. I am intrigued by his speculations on the cosmic origins of those fields, tracing them all the way back to the big bang.
But it's in the areas of choice and grace where he makes his most remarkable observations. He can sense that split second of sensation before we label an experience good or bad. In bringing that to awareness, he opens new possibilities for choice. And in describing the apparent limits of choice, he opens new definitions for grace.
In some ways, Justin's work reminds me of Enlightenment-era metaphysical thinkers like Thomas Troward. The difference is that Justin's work is based primarily in direct experience rather than theory. Coming along for the ride with him can open new areas of consciousness--even for those like me who are not naturally tuned in to the frequencies he recounts.
